Australian AI Search Prompt Library
Use prompt categories to reveal demand and gaps, not to copy a rigid list. The highest-value prompts mirror real customer decisions in your market.
How to use this library
Start with customer language already found in sales calls, search data and enquiries. Build prompts around discovery, comparison, local suitability, trust and problem-solving.
Discovery prompts
Examples include: “Who helps with [problem] in Australia?”, “What are the best options for [need]?” and “Which providers specialise in [service]?” Adapt them to your category and customer vocabulary.
Comparison prompts
Test how systems respond to questions such as “Compare [brand] with alternatives”, “What should I look for when choosing [provider]?” and “Which option suits [customer type]?”
Trust and verification prompts
Use questions about credentials, evidence, reviews, risks, pricing transparency and suitability. These often expose inconsistencies that broad discovery prompts miss.
What we are not publishing
The public library helps businesses understand prompt intent. Cited’s client methodology includes deeper prompt expansion, weighting, competitor mapping and quality controls that remain part of the service.
Build prompts around real decisions
A useful prompt set starts with the decisions customers actually make. Discovery prompts reveal which brands are known. Comparison prompts show how a shortlist is framed. Trust prompts expose the evidence an answer engine relies on, while local prompts test whether a business is associated with the right service area.
Record more than whether the brand appeared
For each prompt, record the platform, date, exact wording, brands named, order of mention, citations shown and any factual errors. A mention without recommendation is different from a recommendation, and a citation to a third-party source tells a different story from a citation to the brand’s own website.
Avoid false precision
AI answers can vary between sessions and over time. Treat one result as an observation, not a benchmark. Repeated testing with a stable prompt set is more useful than continually changing the wording until a favourable answer appears.
How to interpret prompt results
A prompt result is a snapshot, not a permanent ranking. Results can change with wording, location, account context, model updates and the sources available at the time of the query. Record the exact prompt, platform, date and output before comparing changes. Use a balanced set of discovery, comparison and recommendation prompts rather than selecting only questions that favour the brand.
The library is designed for repeatable monitoring. It does not claim that any one prompt represents total market demand, and it should be combined with referral data, customer research and evidence from multiple AI environments.
